Thousands of Baltimore residents celebrated Independence Day in South Baltimore! The 3rd Annual Cherry Hill Waterfront Arts & Music Festival featured local musicians, community arts, crafts and games for kids, and food and local vendors. Maryland Art Place partnered with local groups to install “Hanover Street Gallery: Reframing Pathways” on the Hanover Street Bridge, with 24 works of art created by a diverse group of living artists with art centered around abstraction, expressionism, and pattern and design. South Point was lively with music, food and signature drinks. And for the first time in more than a decade, everyone enjoyed a South Baltimore fireworks show, launched from a barge between the shores of South Point/West Covington Park and Middle Branch Park. Special thanks to all of the partners who came together to make this celebration possible: South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, Youth Resiliency Institute, Fusion Partnerships, Maryland Art Place, and Weller Development.
