The Manager of Hospitality & Events will be responsible for assisting the Director of Hospitality & Events with the planning and execution of all Weller Development Company and Port Covington tours, VIP experiences and events. This person should be an organized, customer service professional, who takes pride in seeing things run smoothly and efficiently. They must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the highest standards of excellence.


  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities | Include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist the Director of Hospitality & Events with any guest requests and events for Weller Development Company
  • Lead the VIP Tour process with planning, coordination, and day-of implementation
  • Assist with the planning, development, and coordination of Weller Development Company events by contacting vendors, pulling quotes, and organizing
  • detailed logistics
  • Maintain communication with any outside vendors contracted for events
  • Arrange meeting spaces, accommodations for guests, food and beverage, music, audio and visual requirements, and any other event or meeting needs
  • Create detailed run of show documents and schedules
  • Assist with coordinating day-of logistics with all related parties
  • Maintain a comprehensive Hospitality calendar of all tours, events, high-level meetings, and VIP visits
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal business hours on weekends or evenings

  • The ideal candidate should have a high level of proficiency with email, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word, budget tracking systems, and various project management systems.
  • Proficient in both Mac and PC operating systems is a plus


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ year direct work experience with the event planning, tours and/or hospitality
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving unexpected event-related issues
