The Baltimore Stocking Exchange is a holiday pop-up shop that will be stocked with donated gifts that selected parents can purchase at steeply discounted prices. The new initiative, launched by the South Baltimore 7 (SB7) Coalition and the Port Covington Development Team, uplifts parents facing financial hardships by restoring the dignity and pride that comes with being able to provide for their families during the holidays. Families are selected by local community leaders, school principals and members of the SB7 Executive Board. All purchased gifts will be wrapped onsite at no additional cost. All proceeds will benefit the SB7 Coalition.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Help us fill the pop-up shop by donating toys and gifts!
Our preferred method of donation is online via the Baltimore Stocking Exchange Amazon Wish List at bit.ly/BaltimoreStockingExchange. Alternatively, donations of new toys and clothing will be accepted during weekday business hours at 1000 Key Highway East, Baltimore, MD.
We rely on volunteers to fill a variety of roles that help run the pop-up shop, including sorting inventory, monitoring the floor, assisting families with selecting items, wrapping gifts, and more. To volunteer, sign-up for a shift HERE. The store will be open December 20-22, 2019 at City Garage, 101 W. Dickman Street, Baltimore, MD.
