Weller Development’s Port Covington Community Impact Team partnered with Volunteering Untapped for a holiday community service project. On Saturday, December 14, more than 100 volunteers met at City Garage for a variety of activities. One group of volunteers supported City of Refuge Baltimore by wrapping gifts to be distributed to children and seniors. Others assembled care packages for people in need through Catholic Charities of Baltimore and for mental health patients at Medstar Harbor Hospital. Finally, there were volunteers dedicated to assembling street survival kits for the homeless including warm socks, toiletries and other essentials.
